Summer Qualifiers

Anyone interested in doing teams? Summer show jumping and dressage qualifiers coming up very soon, please shout Liz Raven for Sj and Karin Harris for Dr ASAP!

Clinics and Venue

Hi all - firstly we would like to put on some clinics - what would you lot like to do? Jacquie Barton (worked with international sj and the German Reining team) would like to host some young horse/problem horse clinics. We cannot use the RC field this year, and don't have access to the Church Field until the end of the year, so please suggest venues and we will get them organised.

Secondly, congrats again to the girls and their support teams who represented us at Windsor. Well done all of you!

Postponement of May Show

After much consideration, the decision has been made to postpone the May 20^th show due to poor ground conditions. Both the committee and our host, Ross Armour, feel that access to the showground itself and the condition of the riding surfaces present a significant health and safety risk.

The show will now be held at Brendons, Pyecombe on Sunday 17^th of June, with no alterations to the schedule.

OVDRC August Camp Fri Sat Sun 24th/25th/26th Aug

Hi campers!

We are doing Fri Sat Sun 24th/25th/26th Aug at Hurstwood Farm. Rachael Smith is only available on the Friday, so we have approached the lovely Donald Kear and Alison Short for lessons thus far. Leanne at Hurstwood is available for escorting hacks. Permits for hacking on the forest can be made available to anyone who wants them.
Prices will be similar to last year. I will confirm with Mike and the gang ASAP, then start taking deposits.
Stable or grass livery is available, and you are able to camp, sleep in your lorry or rent a cottage direct from Hurstwood.
The barn is booked out to Sarah, Liz, Kelly and Jade.
We will have the usual plan of flat am jump pm with XC and a little show on the Sunday.
Applicants MUST BE CURRENT MEMBERS.
Usual deal with camp place in return for help at Champs.

AUGUST CAMP

We have a choice of two weekends - and we are aiming for 3 or 4 days this time.
Either 16th 17th 18th 19th or 23rd 24th 26th 26th.
Vote please - first or second weekend?
Costs will be as normal, but camping will be permitted this time which is cheaper. Will confirm costs when we have a fixed date.

First Show - Sun 20th May

Hi all, OVDRC Jumping and Showing show Sunday 20th May. As we are sure you are all aware, these shows take a huge amount of work to set up and run, so we need the support of our local riders to assist with the setting up and the packing down, or we simply cannot continue to run these shows locally. Anyone willing to meet us at Telscombe Stud on Sat 19th to help with the loading of jumps please text Sarah on 07961 435813.
The show is taking place in Church Field 1, on the day enter through the normal showground entrance then turn right along the headland, following the signs. We have just budged across two fields from our usual spot.
